POLICIES
SESSION FEE
The $275 session fee pays for Erica's time and talent and professional image editing. The non-refundable fee is due at the time of booking in order to hold your spot on my calendar. Session fee DOES NOT include any prints, products, or digital files.
PAYMENT FOR PRINTS
Erica Whitaker Photography accepts cash, check, and debit/credit cards. Please make checks payable to Erica Whitaker. There is a $45.00 fee for any returned checks.
COPYRIGHT
All images are copyrighted by Erica Whitaker Photography. It is illegal and unlawful to scan, copy, or reproduce my work in any manner or medium except in manners outlined in your print release if purchasing digital images. Clients are to follow the guidelines given on the print release in order to protect the integrity of Erica's art.
ON LOCATION SESSIONS
Please be aware that outdoor sessions may need to be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. If a permit is required to conduct a session in a client's desired location, the client will be responsible for obtaining the permit and any costs involved. Locations outside a 60 mile round trip of 32566 are subject to a travel fee. Contact Erica for details.
ARRIVAL TIME
Please arrive on time! It is to your advantage to be on time and ready to start the session. Starting late means you may have fewer images to choose from.
PROOFING
Approximately 3 weeks after your session (especially during busy summer months), your proofs will be ready for viewing. Your proofing gallery will be available for 2 weeks to make purchases of any collections, a la carte prints, or digital images. Clients typically plan to invest between $500 and $1500 on their custom photography experience, including both fine art prints and products. Payment plans are available for orders over $700. Your final portraits will be delivered or mailed to you after payment has been made and will arrive about 2 weeks after your order is placed. Digital files are delivered via digital download on a link sent to client. Specialty items such as canvases or albums can take a few more weeks to arrive. No part of any order will be delivered until payment is made in full.
PHOTOGRAPHIC RENDERING
While I do capture many images during your session, you will see anywhere from 20 to 50 or more edited proofs, depending on the type of session you choose. Each finished image is carefully edited to ensure maximum artistry and technical perfection. Images with eyes closed, heads turned, duplicates, etc. will not be shown and are removed from the archives permanently. All images are photographed in color, but are available in black and white at no additional charge.
CONTRACT
If Erica cannot perform this contract due to fire or other casualty, strike, act of God, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to Erica's or family's illness or emergency, then she shall return any deposit or sitting fee to the client but shall have no further liability with respect to the contract. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or media malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the photographer. In the event Erica fails to perform for any other reason, the Studio/Photographer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the client’s order.
